Under the Sea with Siman Tu

I will be attending the Museum of Natural History's annual museum dance next week and I've been thinking about what I should wear.  The theme is "Under the Sea" and is sponsored by Roberto Cavalli, so I'm sure there are going to be some fabulous outfits on all the dazzling NY woman in attendance.  I decided that ocean colors, like blues and greens, would work well with similar color/thematic accessories in shell or pearl.  I already have a blue gown from LK Bennett and a beautiful abalone shell statement necklace from Siman Tu, but I decided that I needed another piece of jewelry to finish the look, so I went to the Siman Tu boutique to poke around a little and see if anything would work.  Siman just happens to have a lot of sea themed pieces, so the store is the perfect place to get accessories for this event to complement those colorful Cavalli gowns, and when I explained the situation Siman made me a pair of abalone earrings on the spot!  I am thrilled with my accessories and am now all set for the event.

Siman Tu abalone necklace & earrings

In addition to being so generous and making my earrings Siman has offered a 15% discount to any of my readers who go to his store between now and next Thursday, April 18th (the day of the dance) if they mention the museum dance and my blog!  The boutique is located at 860 Lexington Avenue, between 64th & 65th.  The number is: 212-327-4626 and the web site is: www.simantu.com .  Just ask for Jackie and she can show you a selection of the most fabulous sea themed pieces imaginable.  In addition to the pieces being perfect for this event, Siman's jewelry has been a wardrobe staple on many tv shows like Gossip Girl and Lipstick Jungle, so there is a bit of Hollywood glamour attached to a Siman Tu creation.  I'm going to be doing an in depth feature on Siman later this Spring, but for now here are a few photos of some of the sea worthy pieces currently at the store.  I'll be on the lookout for them next week.

Stunning fishtail necklace.  This was my favorite piece and must be seen in person to be appreciated.
