I was one of the lucky ones with Target's recent designer collaboration. I was able to get a pair of gold toed espadrilles on line and my friend got me the white & gold clutch bag and natural tote bag I wanted in the store. I love the shoes and clutch and can't wait to use them this Spring. The tote is huge and will come in handy this Summer as I drag my pets, and all of their accessories, back and forth to my mom's for visits.
If you didn't score with this collection, don't feel too badly. I did well when Target paired with Liberty of London, Temple St. Clair and now Lilly, but did not get what I wanted with Phillip Lim or Missoni. I'm still crying about the Missoni ballet flats I missed out on, but you can't win 'em all.

Earlier this week I went to a cocktail party to benefit the American Cancer Society at the Pomellato store on Madison Avenue and I found some new friends. They were very eye catching, but surprisingly lightweight to wear. Too bad they couldn't come home with me!

If you are a fan of Hermes scarves you will enjoy these photos. My father purchased this scarf at an Estate sale around 20 years ago and gave it to me. I never wore it because it is a collectors item. I had intended to frame it and hang it on a wall, but I don't have any wall space at the moment. The scarf was made to commemorate the 1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles and covered by ABC Sports. The theme of the scarf is archery. I just listed it on Ebay, because it has been sitting in its box for twenty years and should really belong to someone who will frame it or wear it.

I attended an event at the Valentino store on Madison Avenue last night. The event was a pre party for the American Museum of Natural History's upcoming ball. A lot of the clothes had a butterfly theme and my favorite item was this beautiful bag. The best part is the clasp that is a double ring you slip your fingers through so you can hold the bag like a clutch. So fabulous!
