Escada For A Good Cause

A few weeks ago I attended a cocktail event/fashion show at the Escada boutique in Saks Fifth Avenue to benefit the New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.  Vogue co-hosted the event.  Several of my friends are very involved with the charity and were nice enough to invite me.  The event was packed full of well dressed women, so in addition to the beautiful selection of accessories specific to Escada's resort and Spring/Summer 2013 collection there were a lot of fabulous accessories to appreciate in general.  Here are just a few of my favorites:

Green is a very popular color this season and Escada features a green pattern in several pieces including a beautiful caftan I'm lusting after.  The scarf above can be worn on its own or paired with similarly patterned items in the collection like the dress below.

The fashionable guests sported some enviable accessories.  I had a really fun conversation with WPIX anchor Frances Rivera about our Hermes Birkin bags.  I love talking about accessories and was thrilled to find a kindred spirit.

As for my attire, I wore the one Escada jacket that I have had for a decade, and that is still in great condition.  It's a blue/multi tweed so I accessorized with blue shoes, a blue necklace and my navy Birkin.  Everyone kept asking about my necklace and who designed it.  It was from Sequin, one of my favorite costume jewelry designers.

At the end of the event we were each given a very nice accessory as a party favor:  a leather business card holder.  Very stylish and extremely useful.  It's tucked inside my wallet with my business cards right now.
