Chanel Rules at the Antiques Show

Last week I attended the opening night party of the Winter Antiques Show to benefit the East Side House Settlement.  As the first major event for this season in Manhattan everyone was decked out in their finest attire (underneath their warmest outerwear in freezing, single digit temps).  I love looking at the antiques for sale, but my eye was naturally drawn to the women's accessories and I noticed that several of my friends were sporting Chanel.  The Chairman of the party was the former CEO of Chanel, Arie Kopelman, so maybe that inspired them, but whatever the reason they all looked great and their accessories were fabulous!  One bag in particular, a black sequin clutch, was to die for.  I'd first seen it at a Chanel boutique and I now have some serious bag envy.

The Chanel wearing ladies are pictured here with me and my buddy, Daniel, and I will zoom in on their Chanel accessories below:

This black sequin flap bag is stunning.  Jean paired it with a colorful Milly cocktail dress with a peplum, and black opera gloves.  She looked lovely, as always.

Dr. Penny Grant paired a classic Chanel quilted flap shoulder bag with a red dress and black shoes.  The look was simple, elegant and timeless.

Dawne Marie Grannum wore Chanel black and gold shoes.  Black and gold is a very trendy color combination right now, and Dawne's choice of sheer black stockings made the gold piping pop.

I probably spent more time appreciating the accessories then the antiques, but totally understandable when Chanel is involved.
